Did you ever wonder why there are so many outstanding homes in Anne Arundel County and on the Eastern Shore? It might be because we are blessed with a location that can only enhance a home’s merits. Or perhaps it’s because we are lucky enough to have been peopled by individuals with style and vision—both in our homeowners and the professionals who fulfilled their wishes.

Architectural Window Supply is just such a company. Opened in 1995 by owners Christina and Greg Kunowsky, their business specializes in windows and doors—one of the most import features of any home design. As Christina explains it, “We only sell windows and doors and our knowledge is key and what builds trust with architects, builders and homeowners.”

Greg Kunowsky relishes meeting with clients. “I like the challenge of adapting the product to each project, whether contemporary or traditional, and solving the clients’ needs. I pride myself,” he continues, “on knowing the products very well ... and knowing the competitor’s products.” He tells us that homes built on the water require doors and windows with a special finish and glass that reflects UV rays. Additionally he says outside doors (especially French doors) should swing out, not in, to prevent leaking.

The couple, and their company, also take pride in their extensive showroom. “There’s a lot of value in meeting face to face and seeing exactly how the products function and compare,” Greg says. Online shopping has become a major preoccupation these days, but windows and doors should be seen, felt and demonstrated. And explained. At Architectural Window Supply you will see a high quality, “curated” selection with the added benefit of instantaneous, expert advice. “I want the people I speak with to know that this guy knows what he’s talking about,” Greg says. “I am always honest whether we get the project or not.”

The Kunowskys are true local businesspeople. They live in Severna Park and love running into people with whom they have worked. “We are in this for the long haul.”
